Presented this morning in San Ginesio, in the crater’ Macerata, the special ordinance with which the reconstruction of the school complex is started, ended three years ago at the center of a controversy that had blocked the process after the negative opinion on the work by the Archaeological Superintendency in the Arts and Landscape of the Marche.
The new center will house the children's complex, the primary and for higher institutes.
At the presentation, among others, also the extraordinary commissioner for post-earthquake reconstruction, Giovanni Legnini, the president of the Marche Region, Francesco Acquaroli and the councilor for reconstruction, Guido Castelli.
“This ordinance – said the mayor Giuliano Ciabocco – marks the rebirth of San Ginesio, because the schools in this community are an integral part of its history”. After retracing the troubled stages that led to the ordinance, the mayor pointed out that “We arrived at this result thanks to the determination and work carried out by Commissioner Legnini and his commissioner structure”.
With an ordinary process, Legnini explained, “it would have taken at least 5-6 years” to start the work of the school complex. Acquaroli highlighted “the need to plan the future of these lands, as well as rebuild the buildings”.
