A memorandum of understanding was signed yesterday which provides for concrete collaborations for cultural activities, training and planning, between the municipality of San Ginesio and the University of Camerino: Mayor Giuliano Ciabocco and the Magnificent Rector Claudio Pettinari signed the agreement in the municipal residence.
Particularly, as cited in the art. 1 of the document signed by “the Parties, in order to better achieve their respective institutional goals, recognize the common interest in maintaining and developing profitable collaborative relationships for carrying out training and research initiatives and activities, technological development and innovation".
Among the activities that can be developed, there are the activation of cultural collaborations, SPORTS, scientific and/or educational on specific topics of common interest; the organization of conferences and seminars; the promotion of training internships, orientation and other educational and informative activities; the possible provision of scholarships for ad hoc cultural projects; and the possible possibility of making available a free information/promotional space for the University in particular events organized by the Municipality, as well as the possibility of participating in projects in the context of tenders that involve multiple entities.
“This Memorandum of Understanding- declares Mayor Ciabocco – marks an important milestone towards that path of "cultural rebirth" of the village which cannot fail to include the vitality of the Camerte University as one of the most’ interesting and innovative at a national level. With his almost 700 years of history, the University of Camerino has the strength and momentum to continually evolve and face the challenges of the time while always remaining true to itself, to their values, to its long tradition. "At the beginning of my rectoral mandate, – states the Unicam Rector Pettinari – I symbolically chose the hashtag #universitas to characterize the university policy that we would undertake as governance. In its broadest sense, the universitas is a whole, a totality of actions to take, to share. Unicam has always been #universitas and an example of this is the third mission actions that we are undertaking and carrying forward, like the protocol just signed. The knowledge, knowledge, they cannot remain closed in the turris aeburnea of classrooms and laboratories, it must be transferred primarily through teaching to students, but it must also find concrete application in supporting the development of territories, bodies and institutions with which we can collaborate. It's just by all working together, indeed, that we can overcome the challenges we are called to face, for the well-being and progress of this society. I am sure that the collaboration with the municipality of San Ginesio will be lively and effective and will soon lead to concrete results."
