Great success for the 5th edition of the Romantic Night in the most beautiful villages in Italy: uA more intimate edition and with many initiatives organized in total safety but with a lot of participation and enthusiasm!
It was held on Saturday 27 June, as usual on the Saturday following the Summer Solstice, the fifth edition of the Romantic Night in the most beautiful villages in Italy, the event created by the Association to celebrate love and romance in the small great jewels of Hidden Italy.
From North to South of Italy, the event was organized and took place in total safety: certainly a more intimate and intimate Romantic Night but one that nevertheless met with the enthusiasm and participation of many visitors. The Association has considered, after several months of lock-down and gradual reopening, to organize the event again this year: it was the right occasion to give the official start to the restart of tourism in the villages and to inaugurate the Italian summer, of which the villages will certainly be the undisputed protagonists.
Already from the first year, La Notte Romantica has proved to be one of the most interesting events in the panorama of tourist-cultural and entertainment events in our country, recording great acclaim and great public participation,with an average of1 million visitors per edition on the whole network.
This year the commitment of the administrators, of the proloco and the associations of the various Municipalities that joined the event was even stronger and more felt: after months of lock-down and with a pandemic that still forces us to pay the utmost attention in living our sociality, organizing an event dedicated to love and romance was an important but necessary challenge, since the tourist-cultural revival of our country and our villages is also closely linked to events, an essential element of the strategy of attracting tourist flows in the territories.
Each village has prepared its own program of the Romantic Night, in compliance with the basic format indicated by the Association: green light, so, to creativity and imagination, to celebrate love and romance in a magical evening, where you can rediscover yourself as "romantic" in the atmosphere of the Italy of the villages. From the Aosta Valley to Sicily, all the villages were illuminated by candlelight and offered a rich program of events, initiatives and events, all strictly in compliance with the current rules of social distancing and with the utmost attention to avoid gatherings: through the theatre, the music, Dance, the cinema, exhibitions, various competitions and much more, love and romance were represented and celebrated in the squares, in the palaces and streets of the villages.
There are two characterizing and unifying moments:
– he serves “Thought of love”, which every year is specially created for the event by a starred chef and this year has instead been created for free interpretation: citizens and restaurateurs have proposed their own recipe for this dessert, thus participating in theFacebook event #NOTTEROMANTICA2020, where you can post the photo and the recipe of the dessert: the most beautiful and creative will be rewarded. Furthermore, the best recipe will be elected as the Thought of Love of the edition 2021 of the Romantic Night;
– the usualmidnight toast, crowned again this year by the launch into the sky of thousands of balloons – branded Romantic Night and totally biodegradable – to seal the success of an event that manages to go beyond the wildest expectations every year.
As mentioned above, a social event is proposed again this year, a Facebook contest in effect until 10 July, where the most representative photos of the evening will be awarded. The best sweet "Thought of love" made by a pastry shop or a restaurateur, the best dessert made at home by those who have chosen to celebrate the event in a more "cozy" way and the best photo of the preparations of the village for the event.

Many visitors have chosen to participate in the event, all strictly in compliance with the rules established by the Municipalities in compliance with both regional and government provisions. There was such a desire to return to normalcy and experience this Italian summer immersed in the beauty of our historical heritage, artistic and cultural: this enthusiasm, together with the enormous organizational capacity of local administrations and their communities, made the event a success, also finding the satisfaction of local accommodation operators penalized so much in recent months by the crisis generated by Covid".

Romantic night 2020: the contest-event Facebook
The contest aims to give maximum visibility to the Romantic Night through social media.
You can join the Facebook event: https://bit.ly/FBnotteromantica2020 and share from 17 June to 1 July all contents: photo, posters and planned initiatives. From the 27 June, Then, you can share the photos and videos taken during the Romantic Night in the chosen village. The event will result in a collective album of what happens during the Romantic Night.
Labor taxes, from preparation to set up, from shows to typical dishes they must be shared within the event itself.
The authors deemed most original and representative of the Romantic Night will be awarded.
The prizes are:– a Tom Tom navigator for the photo of the sweet Thought of Love and recipe made at home by those who choose to celebrate the Romantic Night with family or in a more homely way;– a Tom Tom navigator for the sweet Thought of Love made by a pastry chef or a restaurateur of the village, always accompanied by a recipe. The most representative photograph of the edition 2020 will win a SmartBox for 2 people including breakfast and experience in the most beautiful villages in Italy.
